The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency published revised payment stablecoin reporting forms on October 23, setting out the weekly and quarterly information issuers under its GENIUS Act jurisdiction would submit. The first weekly report would cover January 25, 2027, and be due January 27, subject to Office of Management and Budget approval of the collection.

The Federal Register notice opens another comment period through November 23, 2026. It separates two stages of the rollout: the OCC has finalized its reporting rules, but the revised forms and information collection remain under public comment and OMB review. Respondents cannot be required to answer without a valid OMB control number.

Weekly reserves and activity, quarterly financials

The weekly PS-01 form covers issuance and redemptions, secondary-market prices and trading activity, liquidity and concentration, and reserve holdings. Its reserve categories include cash, Treasuries, reverse repurchase agreements, money-market funds and other instruments, according to the notice.

The quarterly PS-02 form covers income, balance-sheet information, off-balance-sheet exposures and derivatives, capital, and operational backstops. Together, the forms would give the OCC recurring information about covered issuers’ activity, reserves and financial condition.

The OCC describes PS-01 as confidential. That supervisory submission should not be treated as a public reserve report. The materials reviewed also do not establish that PS-02 submissions will be made public.

Coverage is limited to payment stablecoin issuers within the OCC’s GENIUS Act jurisdiction. These forms are not a reporting timetable for every stablecoin issuer.

Three dates with different meanings

The OCC’s final GENIUS Act rule takes effect January 18, 2027. That is separate from both the date covered by the first weekly report and the deadline for filing it.

Milestone Date
Comments on revised reporting forms close November 23, 2026
Final rule takes effect January 18, 2027
First weekly PS-01 report date January 25, 2027
First weekly PS-01 filing deadline January 27, 2027
First quarterly PS-02 period ends March 31, 2027
First quarterly PS-02 filing deadline April 30, 2027

The reporting schedule remains subject to OMB approval of the collection. The OCC’s October 21 bulletin also identifies January 25 and March 31 as the first weekly and quarterly report dates; those dates should not be confused with filing deadlines.

Limited relief for smaller issuers

The notice allows qualifying issuers with less than $1 billion in outstanding issuance to supply only final-day data for certain PS-01 schedules. Eligibility also requires compliance with the stated conditions, including the absence of a formal enforcement proceeding or order. The relief does not apply across all schedules or to every issuer below the size threshold.

For the final rule’s separate redemption provisions, see CRYPTO MAIN NEWS’s coverage of the OCC stablecoin rule. The next reporting milestones are the November 23 comment deadline and any OMB approval, revisions or OCC implementation announcement that confirms how the collection will proceed.
